Please note my working days are Monday to Thursday

We have instructed our Landscape Architect to revise the approved scheme drawing to remove proposals for shrub planting and replace with these areas with grass and re-position tree planning to the outer edges of the green so as to provide the maximum possible space for community events. We will provide these plans to you in the next week or so for circulation to MWRA. With this delay, tree planting will not take place until the autumn planting season 2012. As for fencing, a previously submitted Planning Application with fencing had to be withdrawn by the Consortium following an overwhelming number of objections from residents on Melbury. Accordingly, we will not be including any fencing proposals in the revised scheme.

Under its s106 obligations the Consortium continue to provide revenue support for public transport. The level of support is subject to review and confirmation by the City Council to determine which services will benefit from the revenue support monies available. The next scheduled review of public transport services will take place in May 2012, following the submittal and review of the NGP Travel Plan Managers annual report.

We have provided full copies of conveyance plans for  Melbury  showing who is responsible for what .

Melbury and Warkworth Woods

Melbury & Warkworth Woods Residents Association is managed by a committee of volunteers all of whom live on Melbury or Warkworth Woods on the Newcastle Great Park, and who were elected at an Annual General Meeting.

The committee meet regularly on the last Monday of every month (with the exception of August). Membership of the Association is automatic to residents of both Melbury and Warkworth Woods and there are no subscriptions payable.

The Aims and Objectives of the Association are to represent the best interest of residents both individually and collectively, by liaising with the Consortium of housebuilders, Newcastle City Council and its Councillors, the Parish Council and other decision makers concerning the Great Park.
