
APPLICATION FOR AN ALCOHOL LICENCE – 31 FEATHERSTONE GROVE
An application for a Premises Licence to be granted under the Licensing Act 2003 has been submitted to Newcastle City Council by Narinder Singh of 1 Otis Grove, Blyth, Northumberland, in relation to property at 31 Featherstone Grove, Newcastle Great Park (the former Barratts office), under reference number 10/05386/PREM. The application is under the name of Londis, trading as a General Dealers and off-licence with the sale of alcohol every day between the hours of 07.00 and 22.00.
The time limit to make a comment or objection is 28 consecutive days from the date the application was validated (6th December 2010). You therefore only have until the 3rd January 2011 to lodge your comment or objection. Please be aware that there will not be a planning application accompanying this application as the premises were conveyed as a class A1/A2 commercial unit. Advertising for an alcohol licence application is made by the placement of a notice in the premises, and through an advertisement in a local newspaper which is deemed to be sufficient. You will not receive a individual communication through the post relating to this application.
There is a restrictive covenant prohibiting the sale of alcohol on the Great Park and the Residents Association has made the Licensing Authority aware of this in its objection to the application. Your individual comments or objections should still be made to the Council before the 3rd January 2011.
